When you think about professionalism in the workplace, what images come to your mind? The first thing that comes to my mind is the way people dress; however there is much more to professionalism than attire. Conversation, attitude, manners, integrity, time management and even email and voicemail practices, among other things, have a large influence on your patients’, staff’s and other businesses perception of professionalism in your practice. Sometimes we get so accustomed to our day to day activities that we forget what it means to be professional. In this article we will cover five different topics that will make your practice feel and look more professional.
